Bottle Gourd Curry with Peanut


  1. Bottle Guard(Sorakaya,Dhudi) : 2 cups
  2. Roasted Peanuts : 1/4 cup
  3. Onion : 1/2 cut
  4. Chilli Powder : 1tspn
  5. Turmeric Powder : 1/2 tspn
  6. Salt : 1/2 tspn
  7. Jaggery : for ur taste
  8. Water : 1 1/2 cup
  9. Curry leaves 
  10. Mustard seeds
  11. Cumin seeds
  12. Cilantro
  13. Oil

Preparation Method :

. First take off the skin of Bottle guard and cut it in to cubes.

. In a pan heat a enough oil and add Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Curry leaves and Onions.

. Now fry the Onions lite brown colour, Add the Bottle Guard cubes and mix it well with salt, cover the lid and cook 5 minutes with medium heat.

. Roasted Peanuts make a coarse Powder.

. Now add the Turmeric & Chilli powder mix it well, add the water and cook 10 minutes.

. Add the Jaggery and Peanut Powder mix it and cook 5minutes.

. Garnish with Cilantro and serve with Rice or Roti.
