Pepper Rasam / Miriyala Rasam



Ingredients :
Tamarind small lemon size
Water : 2 1/2 cups
salt to taste
Pepper : 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds : 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder : 1 tsp
Hing : Pinch
Turmeric : 1/2 tsp
Garlic cloves : 5
Dry Red Chillies : 2
Curry leaves 
Cilantro 
Oil or Ghee : 1 tbsp


Method :


. Soak the Tamarind in the water and extract the juice.


. In a pan dry roast the Pepper and Cumin seeds and make a
  coarse Powder and keep aside.


. Heat a Pan with tbsp of Oil or Ghee add Mustard seeds, red
  chillies, curry leaves, Crushed Garlic, Hing, Turmeric and
  Pepper - Cumin  Powder fry  in low flame in 1 minutes.


. Now add the Tamarind Juice and Salt mix it well and bring
  it to one boil. 


. Garnish with Cilantro and serve.
