Ridge Gourd Peel and cut : 2 medium size
Chana dal soaked : 1/2 cup
Green Chillies : 4 or 5
Onion chopped : 1
Tomato chopped : 1
Ginger crushed : 1 inch
Garlic crushed : 2 cloves
Coriander Powder : 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds : 1 tsp
Cumin seeds : 1 tsp
Oil : 2 tbsp
. First wash and soak the Chana dal for 30 minutes.
. In a pan heat Oil add the Mustard seeds, cumin seeds
splutter them, Add the Chopped Onions, Crushed
Ginger, Garlic and Green chillies and fry for 5 minutes.
. Now add the tomatoes and fry for 3 minutes and add the
soaked Chana dal mix it well cover the lid and cook
for 10 minutes.
. Now add the chopped Ridge Gourd add Turmeric,
Coriander powder, curry leaves and salt mix it well cover
the lid and cook for 5minutes.
. Add 1/2 glass of water mix it well and cook for 10 - 15
. Now the Curry is ready to serve with Rice / Chapathi.
